Yeah, I went in practice to see if i could get to a top ranked Private. Around that same time I actually met the #1 Private in Practice--You. I didn't know it was possible to get a shining sword in practice other than being connected to the server for 4+ days straight. I remember seeing you in old battlefield days as well as OldSchooler's tanks.

Hey, I remember Xen and GrayFox. I primarily played in Desert (still my favorite map) in the bonus.com days and playbattlefield.com days. My first screen name was "iralosenad" but my most well-known name was "WaIt_AnD_bLeEd". I was also on a -NatioN- team in desert and my tank was "-ItalY-".
Like you, I'm also getting back into the game and reviving some of the little skill i had back in the day.

I remember every single name you named. Brings back a lot of good memories, and each time I remember the good times I am even more grateful this game still exists for newer memories. I was a lot of names Dont Shoot Me, InSoLeNt iLLuSiOnZ, - Diethyl Sulfide-, A M X, Im With Stupid, DeaD-1, SIX DAY WAR were a few :p. Hope to see you out there, and give you some good fights. Peace, Love, and hippie grease.

Wadsy

Color: Blue
Status: Intermediate
Overall Beast level: [* * *] 3 Star
I chose Wadsy as today's player of the day. Because he was in battling all day he took a raid on his Colonel and died to Major. But still managed to rank to General to receive his Triple Star award. Wadsy has gotten much better and I hope to see him stick around. Good Job!

Good fights we had today on levels. Thought my luck was up when i couldn't find fuel but thankfully that place is a maze and sometimes it's hard to find people. Until the next time, keep the fights as fun!

Thanks for another great fight today :). That tip about disabling missles during raid is really helpful, I didn't actually think of that and it's really proving helpful :)

It's really awesome to see so many old Battlefield timers play tankpit. You never know how much experience someone knows. A lot of guys here have clocked over 300 hours back in Battlefield days and you could never guess when they create a new tank with no awards on it, until you fight them and get kicked around =D

Battlefield-2,
You stated, "Having [homing shots] disabled means when you do pick up equipment there's a 50% chance it will be more armours."
Does this explain how some players in tournaments fill equipment completely in under 5 min? You can get extra radars more often / fast by having them enabled and armor/dual/missiles/homing disabled?
Thanks

Thank you VanGogh.
Oldschooler, I just wrote an original piece about the game returning and having to start over. It was before the reset and before TPv2 came out. Best advice I can give is try to be original and make it your own. Have someone proofread it before you submit it to TP and try your best. That's all you can do.

I exclusively played Crazy Maze back in the day as a blue, so the name Sherman sounds very familiar. Nice to see another old-timer from Maze -- still my favorite map.

There are a lot of "old" players both in terms of time online with BF/TP and age :) I for one played "Black and Blue" long ago (still do occasionally) and now play this tank and "unskilledplayer". I'm retired (from work that is) and play "for the fun of it." So that makes me old in more ways than one. Rarely get on this board but I saw some old names I recognized and thought I would shout out.

I see alotta tanks earning their 2nd and 3rd stars, CONGRATS and keep up the good work! Please remember to reciprocate those ranks...lol. "Q" ing low on fuel just to save your rank is old school. The new and improved generation of players man-up and enjoy a de-activation or two from time to time.
TTTSSSSSSSSsssssssssss
P.S. And it don't matter who you are or how good you are.....YOU WILL BE DE-ACTIVATED so remember to play with HONOR (no pun intended).

#23. New Player, Tip of The Day!
When an enemy comes onto your screen always shoot them unless you need fuel. If you have half fuel and 5-10 duels left always shoot. If there are a bunch of boxes of equipment on the screen, wait until the other player teleports away before picking them up.

Battlefield-2,
Some advice, please
I fill equipment in tourney as a recruit and always takes me 7+ min
There are guys who make sergeant in that time and never seem to stop fighting / their rank never drops. So when do they fill their equipment? Before or after sergeant? Do they #1 - just fill up on equipment really fast (2 min or less) as recruit? Or do they #2 - make sergeant first and then need to find 84 of each equipment? (#2 seems really dangerous, doesn't it?)

#23. Tournament, Tip of The Day!
Go after the kids that rank to Sargent without filling, the second you make lieutenant and have 30-40 duel shots. These tanks are easy targets and it works out well for me.
