FFS the leaderboard isn't based on current promotion points. It's based on the grand total of points for the life of the tank across all ranks of a specific color. If you died to colonel and then promoted back to general, your current points would then be 0, but you'd maintain your same position on the leaderboard assuming the 50,000 pts from colonel to repromotion of general didn't bump you up a spot or 2 depending where you are on the leaderboard
