@ Galilea, They are mobbing you because since you're 'newer' they feel like you might die easy. I would suggest playing what people call a 'tournament tank'. A tank you create specifically for the tournament for the purpose of people not knowing who you are. People tend to mob on main tanks. Unfortunately this makes it harder to cup on your main tank.

Jaws of LYFE,
Happens to me fairly often as well, but my problem is because of high ping.
Congratulations on your first death! Hopefully your next one will be because of some good battle instead of a silly bug. :)

Congrats on the triple star, Druu. Maybe now that you've got that out of the way you can work on a shiny new death medal, sword, and cup. :) See you on the field.

Jaws of LYFE,
Hey dude !! Sorry I deactivated you. I never go for kills esply when i know the tank is low. Its timing. You have to time the shields . Usually its atleast 1 turn if you lag it can be 2 turns ( 2 shots) if your lagging. C you on the field !!

That's funny obedience cause I thought the whole point on raiding was to run down their equipment but hey whatever now I know; and the only time I've 'ducked' being raided was before I got my 3 stars. Also only one time I've lq and that's cause i was 3/4 way to general and would've been the first time I got it in years of playing since the bonus days. I took 3 raids back to back on my first tank couple weeks ago, down to sergeant. I don't 'duck' raids.

Tournaments

#8075 reply report

Galilea:
1) Experienced tourney players target whoever they think will die the easiest (in this case: you). One solution is to make a new tank (with no awards, different name), so no one knows it's you and the odds will be less rigged against you. Another solution is to stick with your main tank Galilea and simply play enough times to get "good enough" that people don't consider you an easy target anymore. I did this on my "Sigma" tank and it took 20 tourneys for mobs to leave me alone.

@Galilea (pt 2)
(If you don't already know the basics) be sure to fill completely full (60 of each) at Recruit, this will ensure you have enough extra radars to gather equipment for the whole tourney. Refill completely full at Corporal again, (78 of each) & then start attacking the highest ranks you can (Lieutenant typically) until you make Lieut yourself. Hunt the easy target Sergeants in hopes of making Captain while beasting points. Sometimes all it takes is Captain to win a cup. Good luck.

Galilea,
2) Always start tourney by radaring for equip at recruit, until you fill up to 50+ extra radars and 60 of everything else. Should take 7-12 min. Then find bots, radar the screen, see where all the fuel / equip is, shoot the bot 7-9 times until it teleports away, pick up fuel and equipment on the screen. Repeat until you kill a corp bot and make lieutenant around 14-20 min. Find sergs who did not fill equip in the beginning and kill them.

@Galilea (pt 1)
I suggest playing under an anonymous tank name until you get the hang of tourney play. This will ensure you're not targeted by the mob, (who might recognize your name and awards, and that you may have died in previous tournies and therefore might be an easier target to take down). If you play an anonymous tank name until you get good enough, when you swap back you'll likely be more confident in your ability and be less likely to be targeted due to a consistently higher #.

Galilea,
3) If someone fights you, be sure to fight back and try to get some points fast, 1v1. If a 2nd guy arrives, try to drive into a position so that only one of them can shoot you. If a 3rd guy enters the screen, don't even wait to see if he will shoot you or the other 2 guys; just leave immediately because having 4 tanks on 1 screen waiting for each other's turns to shoot is inefficient PPH'ing.

Galilea,
4) Manage your equip wisely. Don't use shields unless you're low and getting attacked. Use homing shots only if you're going for a kill / use duals otherwise. Refill if your extra radar count goes low (30 or so). Try to use up all of your equip by the end of tourney (finish with 0 duals, 5-10 ERs, 10-20 shields). Listen to advice from Liam aka "lol". Search online for tourney guides (you will find them...they're out there!) Good luck!

sFear,
My apologies. I didn't realize it was drawing to an end. I had about fifteen shield left, so I figured I'd log for a few minutes to let the crowd dissipate, then have another go at it. I'm not going to get worked up over it because the majority of the tanks in that tourney weren't even main tanks. If they want to cup a white text tank, it won't be on my wreckage. :D
