Back in the day The game had a full range of players Newbies-Elites and alot of people played solo (like me) Since the game is up mostly its just the elites & average players who play not many newbies. Yes some people do communicate off the field but that was always happening theirs no stopping communication more popular now day. I wish their was no teams sometimes, and no outside communication! that would be great for a change

hey mormon, i think whats happening here is people see you as an easier target, so when you make sergeant in a tournament most are lieutenant and are looking for a kill that wont be as hard to kill as others may be. Unfortunately this is a strategy used by most experienced players and has been used throughout the ages. The goal for you is to make it as challenging for others to kill you in a tournament. If youre not used to escaping these situations, try making a break from it if more than 2 tanks appear on your screen to save your equipment and fuel. The goal in a tournament is survival to win, focus on ranking as well, a lot of times if you can make it to captain / major you can almost be guaranteed to get a cup. Keep it up on the fields as well, ive seen you been doing better and better lately. In time you will earn your cup and it will feel great! best of luck

mormonTank, It seems you die every tournament, this is why people will always attack you. I highly doubt players are chatting and calling targets outside the game window. You should try keeping your equipment pretty full, especially shields. If you lose most of your shields go spend time filling them again and DO NOT fight people. There are different standards for tournaments, if you are attacked by more than 1 or 2 tanks then run. Just run, run, RUN until they stop chasing you. Make it look like you are not going to die and people will stop trying to jump you. I guess you put up to much of a fight or do not run fast enough. The idea is to avoid death at all costs, as long as you don't quit low, anything goes.
I wish you luck in the next tournament, keep playing and you'll eventually cup!
