"Raid taking" isn't a real concept. It's stupid.
I'd even go as far is to say that raid-taking is for noobs.
A good player is someone who kills more and dies less, at all costs.

"Taking a raid" can be defined in many ways. It's alright to teleport to another screen to radar for fuel if your low instead of just sitting there and dieing. Once you get fuel though you should try and fight back as much as possible until your low again and repeat. If you keep teleporting with full equipment and fuel during a raid to the water or away kinda defies the purpose of the game. Hope that cleared some confusion up.

BigBro1,
I guess the idea is that you shouldn't teleport too far, too often, as it looks like you're "running away" from the raid. Personally I don't have a problem with people doing it, but I can see how some others wouldn't find it fun to chase somebody half a screen each time. To me, it's just part of the game. I don't expect the raidee to simply accept death every time he or she is raided, though it would be nice if he or she fought back at least a little. That's how I see it anyway.

Tankpit aka demolition
go cry in a corner bro, your just mad because i didn't let you have freekill.
I gave it to hunter because, unlike you, he stays in on his color and overall is just a great player. Also I left a raid long time ago with him in it bc Viper 202 was tryin to leech my kill.
Secondly, when your playing on demolition, the only way you fight anyone from what I have seen is by calling every blue on the map to help you gang that person, and when you get your rank, you could care less about helping the other blues.
O yea I liked how you called for my help on demo, when I teleported to help you, you log and switch to pruple and try to kill me? whatever man

lol @ demolitions wc submittion. it was so lame he deserves to have his stats reset and awards stripped immediately.

Perf-16, I posted this because I knew UNBREAKABLE was shy, and look it made him come out and admit his love for the one named 'GENERAL_LUCY'. I did it to help him as he would of kept his love a secret and would of lead him to suicide once he realized he could never bring up the courage to speak to her. He is mad now, but will thank me in the future. Although Gen_Lucy still want to check out these apple farms?

I have decided to make my apples available to those without horses. This is a decision that I feel was necessary to make, even though it almost caused the townspeople to riot and over throw me.

Walking down the street, this is what I see:
Noobs right and left, are looking at me.
They jealous of my swagger
And taking all their kills.
So the noobs come and and hate on me
For beating them for realz.

It's displeasing that none of these apple related suggestions have been implemented in the game yet. Some of them are just brilliant.
P.S. I'm selling a black horse. Contact me if interested. He has pretty good stamina but is getting old

Sonicspeed, I DONT TAKE RAIDS, FunkorDie
Seriously, so first I Dont Take Raids freekills from lt to colonel????? Then FunkorDie deposits so Sonicspeed can make general. I know this because there was a 1200+ fuel right where he died. Then I Dont Take Raids gives a fk to FunkorDie. Are you serious????? You players are the reason nobody wants to play this game.

Obviously this is the section you belong in after saying "you never quit". I've seen you quit on more than one occasion and you're reason why is that you have dial up, yet back when this game first existed that's what most people had. Pathetic excuse after pathetic excuse at the end of the day you still suck more than the newest of noobs. Though it is funny that you think so highly of yourself. Modern day redneck for sure.

Taking Raid -
Taking a raid happens when 3 or more tanks start attacking and stay on you like a dog on a bone..when this happens you want to try and shoot 2-3 or 3-4 times depends on numbers, maybe even more if you get better, you want to fight as much as you can basically before teleporting. Sometime at first it might be best to throw your shields on before you hit map, remember hot keys help in these situations especially. your goal it try to and empty your duals on the raid without dieing, if you complete that depending on whos raiding you, you can say brb, and they should let you refill and back off, some people won't at this point someone will notice and give you props and youll earn respect one way or another, best of luck.

Tournaments

Basic Tournament Guide - Part 3
i always try to keep around 10+ duals, once you have duals you should immediately find something to shoot at, and when you empty them go to the next screen and find equipment and repeat. if its too much to multitask you can fill to 20-30 duals at a time then find something to shoot at so that its less multitasking, it doesnt really matter that much as long as your shooting.
now you have to keep an eye out on the mob while shooting for points. look at the mobs and see if the name of person they are shooting at is getting dark in color then you might want to join in. keeping armors on in the mob is necessary so if someone is shooting at you you still have enough fuel to teleport and chase the guy. always get an angle to shoot duals at the person, shooting homings over rocks is a waste. homings should only be shot if he teleports or moves, always get in position to shoot duals.

Basic Tournament Guide - Part 4
you have many options if the mob is wrecking him, you can plant mines, steal fuel or just shoot at him which i recommend the most. especially if he isnt getting much done to save his armors. if his armors arent getting wrecked however, planting mines and stealing fuel becomes good options. teleporting a few times will lower your fuel enough to where you can steal some fuel, so radar and grab the nearest fuel and continue shooting or plant mines on extra fuel in the area ONLY if he radared that area, if he is teleporting around but still getting wrecked, you should just continue shooting. if it seems like hes not using armors at all then its best to just leave this guy alone and find some bots or shoot at the other guys in the mob to get points instead.

Basic Tournament Guide - Part 5
if you get a kill for captain you must immediately ignore all mobs unless somebody is really having a bad day in a mob then you continue mobbing. but you must get points for major immediately so find bots and random lieuts and gain points while checking on the mobs of course. if you have plenty of time left then you shouldnt worry too much. getting the final kill for major is pretty important after you get enough points for major.
if you get the final kill for major, you have to try and burn the rest of your armors at around the 57-58 min mark shoot all your duals at something high ranked and try to teleport at around 5 armors if the time isnt up yet or have fuel nearby just in case.
not all tournaments are the same, there could be colonels majors or even just captains at the top. usually its majors though. this guide covers the basic idea of what it takes to get points, kills and then convert it into a cup.
good luck!

TankPit Tournament Guide
This is a brief write up to assist those unfamiliar with Tournaments on how to give yourself the best shot at placing and winning a cup.
1) Be prepared. You will be playing for an hour or two (depending on the length of the Tournament) straight so be ready to play for that entire period of time. Bathroom breaks, beverage breaks, etc will only hurt your chances of victory.
2) Have the Play screen up and ready prior to the start of the tournament. The Tournament map will come up on its own; there is no need to Refresh as doing so may cause you to lose some time. Watch the Tournament clock provided in the upper right of your screen so you are ready when the Tournament begins.

TankPit Tournament Guide (continued)
3) Select your color as soon as the Tournament map is available and the game will begin. As soon as you enter, begin to use your radar to search for equipment. Remember that your radar as a recruit only extends out a few spaces from your tank so make sure that you are using it efficiently to radar your whole screens. Avoid areas where you see fuel already discovered, this means someone has already come through that area and taken the equipment. Equipment will make or break you in a Tournament. You want to fill up on equipment as a recruit because recruits have the lowest cap level on equipment. This means that you will fill your armor shields, dual shots, missiles, and homing shots quicker and thus will get extra radars (the most vital of equipment) quicker. Remember that in a Tournament your equipment caps are higher so a recruit, rather than being capped at 20 like in a normal map, is capped at 60 in a Tournament.

Basic Tournament Guide - Part 2
when you reach liuet youve gotta find someone who will either stay still to shoot at or shoot at more bots to get some pps for captain, basically it becomes skill at this point. usually i stay away from the mobs and try to get some points so if i do rank up im usually on top of most of the other majors.
youve always got to be shooting at something, whether its a random corp/priv bot, a random serg who came on your screen, a random liuet etc. always try to shoot at something while inbetween filling your equipment on screens that you think no one has been at. so when your not shooting you should be having a short fill, and when not filling you should be shooting.
ALWAYS keep missiles off, you can use homings most of the time so keep them on. i try to use a combination of armors and duals to get points if im high on armors and low on duals, i would use my armors and shoot duals until im empty on duals then go and fill.

Basic Tournament Guide - Part 1
you dont want to be late first of all, you have got to join the tournament exactly when it opens. so figure out when the tournament is, always use the bathroom just before, make sure nobody or nothing can disturb you and you should be set. when the countdown reaches 0, dont panic itll show up after awhile and click your color of choice to enter.
when you enter, youve got to fill your equipment to 60 60 60 60 55 usually you can go lower on radars if you really want to pph but this is just a guide for winning your first cup, so having extra ers will help a ton if your not good at using them. filling your equipment could take anywhere from 4 to 15 mins, you must be patient and fill.
after you fill radars, kill corporal and private bots until lieutenant, you could stay at sergeant if you want to end up with more pph but since its a basic guide you are better off sniping kills as a lieut.
