Thanks man, I've just been messing around on this game for old time sake! I had many tanks in the original but only one of real note was - Aquarius - top 10 purple on R&S part of the killer
constellations that mostly played Desert. With the world of warcraft expansion just releasing I won't have much time to play. I plan to try and win a cup eventually. Thanks again Bro! Quick shout of to my fellow Oranges!

When someone as decorated as Copenhagen q lows to avoid deactivation as a captain... it's kind of hard to be mad at noobs for doing it. Step up and be a man... or lady if there are any female players out there. People need to practice what they preach.

Congrats on the single star, Bomber. I fired at the ground instead of moved to the fuel. *facepalm* Wish there were an option to disable left click as shoot and have it only work as movement. Having the same button shoot and move has got me killed on numerous occasions and disabling it would be a nice perk.

Quitting low period, especially in a Tournament, takes away from the spirit of the game. You shouldn't feel like you have the right to decide which tanks get a cup, luckily no one cupped on your free kills or people would be a lot madder at you. Although I don't know who you quit low on but hopefully they weren't a contender for a cup or you deprived them of something rightfully deserved!

Fix the game, allow dtt x5 or equal the connection speed so everyone has a chance, not just where they might be located to your servers!!

bro in tournaments you can die but don't do it on purpose just to give kills away. It's VERY frowned upon. Also in tourneys, under NO circumstances will I take a raid. It's a WASTE of time if you are trying to cup.
In the main game, i like dying and taking risks since it makes the game fun. Taking raids and taking a death with 'honor' is just a way of respecting the community. you can do whatever you want quite honestly. It's just a way of being a good community member in my opinion.

Here's the thing, quitting low in a tournament is not nice because you're essentially robbing others of the time they spent to get you low, HOWEVER, it is not against any rules.
Picking who you die to (in other words: dying down/giving free kills) IS against the rules though. It can get you banned from tournaments. Go to "Guide" above, and then click "Advanced Topics" link at the top of the guide.

It doesn't matter what kind of tank is battling you (main or not), it's not right to pick and choose who kills you (in the sense of intentionally allowing certain players to deactivate you).
You should ALWAYS try to survive in a tournament (without quitting low). It's not the main map---dodging raids is fine. Hop from fuel to fuel if you're being chased. Snipe kills. It's all fine.
Only quitting low is discouraged. And free kills are illegal.

One more thing:
You can avoid "white text" tanks if you like, but I think you'll have an extremely difficult time ever cupping in a tournament if you do, because the majority of tanks in tournaments are not mains.

At the end of the day what you do in the 'main map' doesn't really matter to anyone but yourself. However tournaments are a different story. Competitive integrity is vital to their success (and occasionally enforced by the game admin). Quitting low on 'white name' tanks to selectively die to someone playing a main tank usurps the natural flow of tournaments by offering opportunities to some competitors that are not available to others.
