"destroyer, The archived top 25 list is a list of the top 25 from before tankpit stats was reset. The game started very early in January 2012, one of the server hosts lost months worth of stats and there was no back up. So the wise and best decision was made, by the owner of tankpit, to reset everybody's stats and have a fresh start. This was the fairest way for all players. From October 24th 2012 The game returned with everybody's tanks stats and hours set to 0. Don't worry though, the server is now backed up often so we will not have to start over if the new server was to ever have a similar problem.
So the archived top 25 list is just a complete list of the top 25 BEFORE stats was reset. I hope this wasn't to complicated and answered your question. Happy pitting!

Hello destroyer, the archived top 25 is the players who were rated 1-25 on the previous Tankpit that came to an unfortunate end when a change of owners happened. However, the game is in good hands now so have no fear. :)
