Another pathetic excuse for a tournament.

That's some nerve you have posting something like that after you sat in the water and fake for an hour and a half. You, sir, were a big part as to why it was pathetic.

Ralppie.
Welcome back to the game! Currently the snake roster is full. The other teams also have alot of members so I don't know how much recruiting is being done. I think you should try your hardest on a main tank and fight your way up to the top 25! It only took me about 95 hours of play time so I'm sure you can do it! Good luck and hope to see you on the field!

-CottonmoutH- Tips #3 Taking raids
I'm sure this one will be helpful for alot of you newcomers who see the teams running around everyday trying to clear the map. Follow these rules and show them you won't be bullied around!
1. Don't run away. You will never get better by running, you don't get points for running, and it will just make them want to come after you more. Stand your ground, fire back, and do your best!
2. Shooting back. tHis is the main part of raid taking. You have to know the situation and how many shots you can safely get off without getting hit too many times so that you can't teleport. If you're being hit with 1-4 duals, you can usually take 2-3 shots before you have to look for fuel. If you have a full tank of fuel, always try to shoot back at least once. If being attacked by 5 or more tanks, you will not be able to shoot back as many times safely, so use your best judgement but always try to push yourself to the limits!

Raid taking tips continued.
3.Getting fuel. When you teleport, you want to stay in a pattern as much as possible so you don't retrace your steps or run into fake fuel. If there are no yellow dots on your map screen don't panic, just teleport a short distance and radar as soon as you land. Most of the time there will be fuel there waiting for you!
4.Driving. I try to stay away from driving as much as possible in raids because it takes longer and gives your enemy time to register their moves. Even when moving to fuel, once you've practiced Tip #1(June 11th) enough you'll be able to jump from fuel to fuel with ease!
5.Armor shields. I talked about this a few days ago in my bonus tip(June 11th). Armor shields are very important! You want to use them only when you have to, so save them for when you get really low or when you need fuel to teleport to your next battleground.
I will have many more tips on taking raids in the days to come, so get out there and practice these tips for now!

-CottonmoutH- Tips #2 Tournaments
Alright guys. You might have tried out one of the tournaments and found that you couldn't compete with some of the tanks that ended up in the top 10. There are many strategies you must employ in a tournament to be successful and finally obtain a top 3 finish, and here are some of the most important.
1.Fill at recruit. You see everyone just driving around when the tourney starts as recruit. They are radaring like mad looking for equipment. It's easier to fill up to 60 of all equipment at recruit than rank up and try to find 90 of everything when the field has been emptied out some!
2.Use dual shots only. By turning off everything but dual shots and radars, it will be much easier to fill up when you're running low on duals or when you rank up.
3.Try to stay hidden. The best points are to be had when you are out of someones screen and hitting them but not receiving any damage. Stay on the edge of mobs whenever possible!

Tournament Tips Continued.
4.Don't chase. Don't chase people around until you really need to get the kill. This is when time is running low or when you need time to get points for the next rank. In 1 hour tournaments try not to chase a sergeant until there's 10 minutes left.
5.THE GRAND FINALE! Ok, you've made it this far and you're in the top 3! Keep fighting! Anytime from 10 to 5 minutes left turn on all of your equipment and go to war on anyone and everyone that you see! Remember every point counts so give it 110% effort during this crucial time!
If you've followed these steps and had a good equipment fill and got some luck with a kill, you should be right up there at the end of the tournament! I hope everyone newbie and veteran alike finds this useful and best of luck in your next and all future tournaments!

-CottonmoutH- Tips #1
The most important thing in this game is timing. You will get better the more you practice being fast to everything. When you open the map screen, you have about 2 seconds before another round of dual shots hit you, so ACT QUICKLY! It's also good practice trying to do shorter click lengths when holding on equipment and picking up obstacles! When raiding an enemy, if he is getting low on fuel you can try to practice guessing when he will teleport so you don't fire another shot at the ground when you could be in map screen ready to pounce! Alright newbies, not get out there and start practicing! Be sure to check back here for more tips from -CottonmoutH-!

BONUS TIP- Shields
Try to avoid using your shields early on in a battle. The longer you can hold on to your armor shields, the longer you will stay alive and in the fight!

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR ALL OF THE NEWCOMERS TO THE GAME OF TANKPIT.
I admire alot of the courage and persistence I'm seeing on the fields you guys, keep up the good work and keep on fighting and improving your skills! Sadly, there are also players who are not getting better. They refuse to take raids and only fight when the numbers are in their favor or they have a fuel base to run to. I won't name names; these players know who they are. You guys see me out there dying with honor and killing with the ferocity of a great white. I'm always about the same rank as you. The rank all comes back, it's the skillsets that you are trying to gain! Learning how to fight off 3-5 tanks is an art that once every one sees you doing that you will earn respect and many "HELLO's" when you step onto the field! Who knows, one day in the heat of combat someone from another team might side with you because of the respect they have for you. I'm proud of all of you though, have fun! I'll see you on the fields!
